the best way to get to krui in south sumatra, indonesia is to fly into Jakarta international airport, take another small 30 minute flight to Bandar Lampung in Sumatra, and then take a bus to Krui.
You can take the public Krui Putra bus from the bus station which takes upwards of 8 hours depending on stops or you can choose to book ahead at one of the surf camps in Krui so that they can pick you up.
When I went, I chose to use http://paradisesurfcampsumatra.com/ to book the bus and the surf camp accommodation. I was a bit nervous about coming into Bandar Lampung but the driver was waiting for me and the drive was great, through an amazing jungle!
Once in Krui, there is not much to do except surf, surf, and explore! The people were all very friendly and we never tired of the kids who would come running out of their houses to greet us wherever we surfed!
